Visits from Presidents, Prime Ministers, Secretaries of State, Ministers and Diplomats – Northern Ireland has seen its fair share of international visits and momentous political announcements over the years and Morrows events team have been there for most – behind the scenes. Our events colleagues have had the privilege supporting The Executive Office Press department since 2010, making sure these key media moments looked good in the pictures, the VIP sound bites were clean, and security cordons remained unbreached.
Overall, our area of responsibility in this contract covers a range of operational and strategic support – conducting site surveys to indoor and outdoor locations, developing floor plans for media movements and ‘family photos’ in state buildings, managing accreditation and access control zones, supporting the media pack with broadcast quality sound & lighting and show-calling stage management duties on the day.
Over and above the bread and butter of announcements at Stormont Castle or for North South Ministerial Council Joint Secretariat plenary meetings, our events team has also supported flagship programme initiatives for The Executive Office over the years. These events have included United Youth/T: BUC Summer Camps celebrations in Eikon and SSE Arena, three British-Irish Council Summits (Derry, Enniskillen and Newcastle) and various Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration events across Northern Ireland. For these larger scale events, we have provided a full portfolio of event services – extending to entertainment/talent management, venue liaison, booking/registration systems, graphic design & branding and host/MC scripting.
The success of this contract relies on mutual trust, strategic awareness, quick response times and a resilient supply chain – fortunately something we are very good at, helped by our wide network of brilliant event suppliers on top of our own in-house capacity.
