In early September 2022 we were honoured to work with the Northern Ireland Office and a wide range of partners to play our part in delivering the many official events and ceremonies in Northern Ireland which marked the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
Following years of planning for Operation Shamrock and acting as the official Northern Ireland event delivery partner our events team, supported by our comms and creative teams as well as our extensive supplier network literally moved mountains, in a matter of days, to facilitate and deliver these significant and historic occasions.
Working closely with partners across the public sector we collaborated to manage the various NI events and associated ceremonial occasions as part of the wider UK period of mourning. Significantly this included the first official visit of His Majesty The King to Northern Ireland.
Thanks to detailed preparation, within hours of the official announcement we activated our plans to manage all media, guest and supplier/contractor accreditation; delivered onsite event logistics and infrastructure to ensure event safety and crowd control; supported all invited guest management; managed design and print of official invites, signage and documentation; as well as supporting media engagement and facilities throughout the entire period.
This was truly a once in a lifetime project and we were privileged to be actively involved in what is now part of history. It is one that will stay in the memory for years to come.
