January 2007, Belfast Castle
In January 2007, Morrow Communications Events and PR teams were contracted to plan, implement and manage a PR campaign and launch event surrounding the celebration of the end of the Woodland Trust’s “Back on the Map” ancient woodland project.
Using our vast knowledge of Northern Ireland’s leading events venues, we advised the Woodland Trust on suitable locations that would best compliment their organisation. Belfast Castle was chosen as the perfect venue with its picturesque woodland setting and views. We liaised closely with our clients and the venue staff when planning layout of the room, exhibition area and catering.
75 attendees enjoyed the celebration event including local MLA’s and government representatives. Display boards and a video plasma screen showcased the hard work completed in “Back on the Map.” Our PR colleagues worked tirelessly to ensure coverage of the event not only in the press but also through television and radio interviews
“I wish to extend a special word of thanks…to Jane for her efforts. Her professionalism and enthusiasm are much appreciated, and helped to ensure the smooth running of the event. I’m sure you will agree that she is a credit to your organisation.”
Patrick D Cregg, Operations Director, Northern Ireland, The Woodland Trust
