The Brief
The Big Idea was an awards ceremony with a difference – taking place over lunchtime with half of the audience consisting of school children to celebrate the business ideas of the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
The Event
Mindful of the young audience and short attention spans, incorporating the glitz and glamour of a typical awards ceremony, Morrows produced a slick and fun event that appealed to all age groups in the audience.
The format of the event was visually complex, incorporating recorded messages from the six Invest NI international offices, a scoreboard that “reordered” in real time as points were announced, plus title slides and rolling pictures of each of the countries represented by the judging panels.
A tight turnaround time on the set up meant that there was no margin for error, and very little time for rehearsals, but our team coped with every challenge to produce a world class event.
The Result
Traditional Indian dancers, a Chinese Dragon performance, a US gospel choir, Different Drums of Ireland provided the entertainment to reflect the international theme of the event and to keep the audience, young and old, entertained throughout. The menu included Indian canapés, a tex-mex style main course, and for dessert a delicious Belgian chocolate fountain.
