The Brief
Business opportunities in sustainable energy and environmental markets are available on a global scale. Invest Northern Ireland hosted the NI Energy & Environment Conference 2009 to ensure that local companies knew how to access global markets, improve their capability and ultimately GROW their business. This was the biggest renewable energy conference ever to take place in Northern Ireland.
Morrow Communications were engaged to deliver event management logistics for this full day conference which incorporated an Innovation Masterclass, six concurrent workshop schedules, an exhibition and business advice appointments.
The Event
Over 650 people attended the conference at the Waterfront Hall, 30 speaker presentations were delivered and over 170 business advice appointments took place throughout the day with Invest NI advisors and Supply Chain companies. This was the biggest renewable energy conference ever to take place in Northern Ireland.
The project, which was 6 months in the planning, involved multiple elements including concept development, speaker recruitment and management, website management, venue design, graphic design, set & staging, graphics production, audio visual, catering, conference administration, delegate recruitment & enquiry handling, appointment generation and post event reporting. Morrow Communications effectively co-ordinated this complex project managing a network of third party suppliers and providing an experienced event production team on the day.
The Results
Key success factors for the conference were our ability to provide a robust administration process which was integral to all elements of the conference; our experience in managing large scale conferences that are so reliant on efficient technical and stage management; our determination to deliver a professional, world class event on behalf of our clients.
